Biography

Dr. Anny Qaisser is a Consultant in Family Medicine from the UK. She qualified as a doctor at St George’s Hospital Medical School, University of London in 2002. She initially pursued a career in Hospital Medicine and work at a senior level as a Medical Registrar until 2008. Her hospital training included the following specialties:

  • Accident and Emergency

  • Cardiology

  • Respiratory Medicine

  • Care of the elderly Medicine

  • Oncology, cancer and palliative care

  • Neurology

 

As a Medical Registrar, she gained further experience in acutely ill patients including acute Cardiology and Respiratory Medicine. In 2009 she qualified as a Family Physician and has therefore gained nine years of experience in Family Medicine in London. As a Consultant Family Physician, she has further developed special skills including:

  • Joint injections, shoulders, elbows, wrists, knees and hips

  • Dermatology, having studied for a Diploma in Practical Dermatology at Cardiff University

  • Minor surgery, accredited by Royal College of General Practitioners in the UK, including mole removals and ingrowing toenails

  • Women’s health and contraception such as coils and implants, having studied for a Diploma by Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Health in the UK

  • Dementia and care of elderly patients including end of life palliative care

  • Paediatrics, child development checks

 

Dr. Qaisser has been the responsible doctor for a large nursing home in London for nine years and therefore has extensive experience in dealing with older patients as well as dementia. She is fully competent in dealing with chronic diseases such as:

  • Hypertension

  • Diabetes

  • Ishchaemic Heart Disease, Congestive Cardiac Failure

  • Asthma

  • COPD

 

As a result of a combination of hospital and primary care experience, Dr. Qaisser is able to deal with acutely ill patients as well as chronic diseases and able to deal with a variety of demographics including children, older people, women and men.

  • SPECIALITY INTERESTS

    • She has a special interest in cosmetic dermatology and has a keen eye for facial aesthetics.  She has developed a career in aesthetic medicine alongside her knowledge and experience in dermatology.  She obtained advance qualification and training in dermal fillers and botox procedures from The London School of Facial Aesthetics. She performs:

    • Botox injections for skin rejuvenation

    • Dermal Fillers

    • Dermapen

    • Dermaroller

    • PRP for skin and hair

    • She has extensive experience in skin diseases and is able to manage common dermatology presentations.
